SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) was implemented to provide the Navy with a streamlined approached to soliciting and managing contracts. Through an online registration, Navy contractors compete for contract awards through an e-based registration that increases speed and efficiency, while decreasing the cost, of Navy contract procurement. SeaPort-e has enjoyed such success that other Navy activities, such as the United States Marine Corps, have engaged the use of the vehicle.
